The Experience
Tandem Sky Dive

After a 20 minute briefing on the tandem skydive, you will accompany a qualified Tandem Master (TM) to 9500 feet above the ground. Then, using tandem skydiving equipment designed to carry you both, exit the aircraft and experience about 30 seconds of exhilarating and extraordinary free-fall tandem skydiving, after which the Tandem Master will deploy the canopy and do the canopy checks. You can then assist the Tandem Master in flying and landing the canopy, or leave it all to him and just enjoy the skydiving experience. The tandem skydive flight will last 5 – 7 minutes.

Static Line Course 

The Sky Diving Static Line / First jump course is run every weekend at the Cato Ridge Airfield. The first day is spent doing your theory and ground training on skydiving, then on your second day you will get to do your first jump! Static line means your main canopy's deployment is automatically initiated by means of a static line as you exit the aircraft at 3500 feet above the ground. You perform canopy checks, fly and land your canopy on your own. Subsequent jumps may be done. These follow a progressive training program. A minimum of 8 static line jumps can lead to your first freefall jump. We supply all the necessary equipment.

This activity is best experienced amongst friends so if you can get a group of friends together to do it with you - the more the better!

Vital Information

The weight limit is 100 kg's.  You need to be in good health with average fitness.  If you are over 40 you will need to declare a medical fitness.  If you are over 16 (minimum age), and under 21 you will require written consent from your parents / guardians.  All parachutists wear two parachutes when making a jump.  If you are a tandem passenger the instructor will carry out the reserve drill and use the 'reserve' if required.  All the tandem parachute equipment has a device to open the reserve parachute automatically if required.

Jumping is always subject to weather conditions and cancellations for this reason are made with your safety in mind.  We will gladly rebook your experience for an alternative date when the weather conditions are safe.

Wear comfortable sports wear, nothing that might be restrictive.
