Including the intro course, this takes you to 35 high paragliding flights and licensing level. It includes the use of paragliding equipment, instruction, and transport to the flying site. Learn to take off, control the wing, and land safely. Next, go to ridge soaring, top landing, thermalling, precision landings, and basic descent techniques. The course duration is 7 to 10 days, weather permitting. A theory test is written during or after the course. The course can be done over a period of six months, or all in one go.

Cost: R5900

SAHPA fees: The SAHPA fees of R700 (included in course price) is broken into two parts: A R350 temporary license, paid at the start of your course to SAHPA. This gives you a learners license which is valid for six months. Included in the fee is your official SAHPA training manual, test and all paperwork needed to get your license, CASAVAC and Third Party Insurance, as well as the bi-monthly Go Fly magazine. R350. Paid at the completion of your course, this is the second part of your license fee that extends the license and all above benefits for another six months. Thereafter you will pay a yearly fee of R700 to stay licensed.
