The Experience
Our helicopter ride experience can be done from Cato Ridge Air
field which offers a magnificent helicopter ride over The Valley of 1000 Hills
or you may choose a coastal helicopter ride and travel along the Durban coast
line. The helicopter ride will be tailored to your personal requirements.
Depending on your requirements we will use either a Jetranger helicopter which
takes 4 passengers or a a Robinson 44 helicopter which takes 3 passengers. For
larger groups of up to 6 passengers we can offer the Longranger Helicopter. Your
flying time will depend on the location, you will also receive a 30 minute
safety briefing before your flight.

Valley of 1000 Hills
Depart Virginia Airport, fly coastal toward Umhlanga Lagoon, then inland overhead Sibaya Casino, then onto Hazelmere dam where we will join the Umdhloti River for some exciting low level flying over the meandering river and through tall cliffs. We then fly through the valley of 1000 Hills towards the Inanda dam |

The River Run Picnic Flight (Stop over tour)

An exciting fast and often low-level flight above a meandering river with tall cliffs on either side. The flight starts at Virginia and tracks seawards of the coastline to Umdloti river mouth onto Hazelmere dam before the river run. We then climb up for breathtaking views of a Valley of a thousand hills and skim over Inanda dam and down the Umgeni River back to the coast. Next it is Durban’s Golden Mile and the harbour entrance before heading back to Virginia. This flight is also an opportunity to see rural life from the air. . Land on a mountaintop over looking the dam for a prepared picnic lunch and refreshments all included. All this in just under an hour. |

Vital Information
Helicopter flying is a weather dependant activity and therefore
your helicopter ride may need to be transferred. All bookings may be transferred
to another date or another person but are not redeemable for cash.
